In 1969-1970, at the height of Iggy Pop’s substance  abuse, he and the rest of The Stooges all shared a house. They amused themselves by injecting themselves with heroin and spraying blood from the syringes over the walls, Jackson Pollock-style. “I wish I was smart enough to take pictures of it,” says Asheton. “Because it would have been a masterpiece.”
